Global Warming

Global Warming

Global warming is definitely no longer a new topic for discussion. You might have heard about it in schools, news, or read about it in blogs, newsletters, and others. The effects of global warming can surely be felt in any part of the world today. But one question remains unanswered: What have you done to stop further effects of global warming?

You might have taken the issue of global warming for granted. But the impacts of this issue are affecting our lives in different aspects. The rising temperatures which can already be felt in different parts of the world can cause serious problems on our health, environment, and even on our economy.

Climate change is undeniably the biggest environmental crisis today. Your single act before can be one of the causes of this crisis today. Thus, you should do your share in creating solution for the crisis too!

In case you are not yet aware, here are the things that caused global warming.

1. Excessive carbon dioxide emissions- If you are using electricity in any form, you have contributed to these carbon dioxide emissions. Why? These emissions came from coal burning power plants that produce electricity. If you are consuming a huge amount of electricity every day, it only means that a huge amount of carbon dioxide is also emitted in the atmosphere to provide your electric needs.

Global Warming

Another source of carbon dioxide is from burning gasoline. In your everyday life, you are consuming burnt gasoline. If you are consuming a huge amount of gasoline to drive your car every day, it just means that you are also emitting a huge amount of carbon dioxide. Gasoline is also used in producing most of our commercial goods. The increasing consumption of gasoline can also be blamed to the continually growing population rate. An increasing population rate means an increasing demand for more cars and more commercially produced goods.

2. Global warming is also caused by deforestation. Trees help reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and provide fresh air. Deforestation is caused of transforming forest areas into commercial, residential, and agricultural lands. Trees are also cut down for the purpose of making the lumber into furniture and other materials that are sold in a tempting price.

3. Global Warming is also caused by chemicals. Farmers today tend to use chemical fertilizers and pesticides instead of organic materials. If you are using chemicals for your crops, you better stop that now and go back to organic way of farming.

Global warming causes the constant rise of sea level. If the water level continually rises many people might be displaced and will have to find a new home. The increase in temperature will also affect the intensity of storms worldwide. If climate change is not prevented, people will be expecting more extreme storm surge around the world. Global warming also affects extinction of species which will then cause the imbalance in the biodiversity.

The effects of global warming can be more devastating than anyone can ever describe today. Thus, you should do your part in healing our world today.
