Just like Japan, China is also a popular tourist destination as well as a popular natural disaster. In 2013 alone, the total number of natural disasters China had to experience reached half a hundred. These caused a lot of heartbreaks and a lot of financial loss. Inner Mongolia Snowstorm This snowstorm took place on January 6, 2013. The Inner Mongolia Snowstorm left two people dead and it affected almost 800,000 people in China. Yunnan Landslide This event killed about half a hundred people. It took place on January 11. A Yunnan landslide also started China’s February as it destroyed almost 40 houses on February 1. Guangzhou Massive Sinkhole On January 29, 2013, the month was closed by a massive sinkhole in Guangzhou swallowing buildings and other nearby structures.
