Natural phenomenon like Hurricane Sandy can happen to anywhere in the world. These are the things that are beyond the control of every one. What people must know is to get over the damages that such phenomenon has caused. Below are some tips that can help survivor in moving on.
1. be strong.
It is natural for a person to be stressed and worried after a natural disaster. However, he or she must not let the worry or sadness make him or her vulnerable. Keeping a strong personality while repairing damaged properties can help a lot.
2. Ask for help.
In times of deep trouble, it is always alright to ask for help. Ask help from family members, friend, and the government agencies for the quick repair of damages. Help doesn’t always come in financial matters. In times of grief for those who lost a loved one in a storm, moral support can do a lot.
3. Accept the loss.
After a devastating incident, there must be no room for regrets, guilt, and hatred. Accepting the loss of property might be easier than accepting the loss of a loved one. However, loss of any kind when not accepted will fixate a person on the grief and will stop him or her from moving on easily.
4. Look forward.
Although accepting and forgetting about the big destruction may be hard, don’t forget to anticipate every other day to come. Look forward for tomorrows. Don’t ever stop dreaming that tomorrow can be better than today and yesterday. Looking forward will help a lot in moving on.
5. Have faith.
Even in the midst of the biggest trial in life, have faith. Always believe that there is someone out there more powerful than any earthly help that in any means, in His power will help you out of trouble.
